Nocs Provisions started in San Francisco when the founder couldn't find binoculars that split the difference between bulky-and-expensive and small-and-cheap. This one uses extra-low dispersion glass, dielectric-coated BaK4 prisms, and fully multi-coated lenses — the kind of spec sheet that usually lives in much larger housings. It's waterproof to IPX7, nitrogen-filled to prevent fogging, and comes with a twist-up eyecup and integrated carry clip. The whole thing measures 110 × 40 mm and ships in plastic-free packaging made from post-consumer recycled cardboard and soy ink, assembled without glue.

10x magnification turns distant blurs into recognizable shapes, which is useful when you're trying to figure out if that's a hawk or a plastic bag caught in a tree. Spoiler: it's just a pigeon. The rope wrist loop guarantees you won't drop this into a river, maybe.

  • Extra-low dispersion (ED) glass and dielectric-coated BaK4 prisms
  • Fully multi-coated lenses
  • Waterproof to IPX7 (1 meter submersion for 30 minutes)
  • Nitrogen-filled fogproof chambers
  • Ultra-compact at 110 × 40 mm
  • Twist-up eyecup
  • Integrated carry clip
  • Impact-absorbing housing
  • Includes rope wrist loop, microfiber pouch, and lens cloth
  • Packaging uses post-consumer recycled cardboard, soy ink, no glue
  • Closing one eye makes you look like you're concentrating very hard on a small boat
