Flat when you pull it out of the packaging. Still flat when you slide it into the frame. Then you turn on the light and suddenly it's doing something the naked eye insists shouldn't be possible with a piece of printed material. You'll stand there squinting, trying to catch it being two-dimensional again, but it refuses to cooperate.
