Sven-Saw Sleeve | Waxed Canvas | Frost River

Richard Swenson invented the Sven-Saw in 1961 after watching a man hobble out of the Boundary Waters with an axe wound to the foot. He thought: there has to be a better way to cut wood in the backcountry. That shop ordered six saws, then twelve more before Richard made it home. Frost River makes this sleeve for it in Minnesota — waxed canvas, straps that tie it shut or hang it from a branch, built to outlast the saw inside it. Available in two sizes: one for the 15-inch saw, one for the 21-inch.

A canvas bag for a saw invented because someone met a guy with a badly cut foot and decided axes were the problem. Reasonable response. The sleeve won't prevent you from doing something stupid, but it will keep the saw from doing something stupid to your sleeping bag while you're not looking.
