Pocket Journal | Fountain Pen-Friendly Paper

Chris Elfering, a former Army officer who founded BOND Travel Gear, got into fountain pens and discovered that regular paper couldn't handle the ink — it feathered and bled through. He found Tomoe River paper from Japan, which worked beautifully, but the notebooks available weren't built to last or travel well. So he started LOCHBY (pronounced 'Lock-Bee,' named after Minneapolis, the City of Lakes) to make durable, fountain pen-friendly notebooks and everyday carry gear. This pocket journal uses that same Tomoe River paper from Japan, with refills assembled in Taiwan and soft goods assembled in Vietnam by skilled artisans in facilities committed to quality and ethical production.
A notebook small enough that you can't blame the notebook when you run out of interesting things to write. You're on your own for that part. The paper will handle your fountain pen ink without complaint, which is more than most paper can say.
