PlanToys built this four-room dollhouse with a balcony and sliding doors that open and close. The scale is 1:12, which matches the rest of PlanToys' dollhouse furniture and accessories. The layout is open enough that children rearrange rooms constantly — a bakery becomes a palace, a bedroom becomes a veterinary clinic, depending on the story unfolding that hour. The sliding doors get tested for durability immediately, and the balcony becomes prime real estate for any doll who wants a view. PlanToys was founded in 1981 by seven university graduates, including Vitool Viraponsavan, who wanted to make toys that help raise self-aware, environmentally-conscious children.
