Messermeister Multi Shears | 9" Titanium-Coated Blades | Push-Button Disassembly

$69.95
1

Messermeister has been making knives since 1981, when founders Bernd and Debra Dressler started distributing German and Japanese blades before launching their own designs. In 1992, they rethought German knife construction entirely — introducing demi-bolster design so the whole edge could be sharpened heel to tip, and polishing edges to 15º for what became the sharpest German cutlery on the market. After Bernd passed in 2002, daughters Chelcea and Kirsten joined the business in 2004, and by 2010 they'd taken over leadership, making Messermeister the only fully women-owned and operated knife company in the world. These 9-inch multi shears are built with 4mm high-carbon stainless steel blades (Daido 1K6) with titanium coating, a patented bearing pivot that keeps the blades aligned, and a push-button mechanism that lets you take the whole thing apart for cleaning. They're one of the few companies still making hot-drop, hammer forged knives the traditional way — premium handcrafted tools manufactured across Germany, Portugal, Italy, Japan, and Asia.

Somewhere in a drawer right now is a pair of kitchen shears you haven't cleaned in three years because who has time to wrestle with a rivet. These come apart with one button push, which means you can finally deal with whatever's living between the blades. The nutcracker and bottle opener feel like someone at Messermeister got very ambitious during a product meeting and nobody said no.
