A city built by a child is bound to be more interesting.

Happy Place is a collection of 40 wonderfully odd wooden shapes—arches, platforms, posts, curves and colorful little forms that can become houses, bridges, towers, playgrounds, furniture, roads, sculptures, or an entire town with its own peculiar rules.

There are pieces for stacking and balancing, fitting and arranging, sorting by color, and building small worlds. Add a few Grapat Nins or favorite little animals and suddenly there are residents, neighbors and stories moving through it all.

The shapes are intentionally unfamiliar enough that children get to decide what they are. Today, a curved piece might be a rooftop. Tomorrow, a boat.

Made in Spain from solid wood and finished in Grapat’s beautiful translucent colors, Happy Place is the kind of set that can sit beside blocks, dolls and loose parts for years—and keep finding its way into whatever is being built next.
