Banwood Icon Vintage Balance Bike | 12" | Ages 3–5

The Icon Vintage is a 12-inch balance bike — steel frame, two wheels, and a little person figuring out how to coast before they ever think about pedals. Banwood built it with Streamline Moderne lines: curved steel, horizontal details, the kind of quiet shape that still looks like it is moving when it is parked by the back door. The frame, fork, headset, stem, handlebar, and seat post are steel. The saddle and grips are leatherette. The tires are Michelin rubber. Handlebar and saddle both adjust as they grow, from about three to five, collecting scuffs along the way.

Someone will spend the first afternoon naming it. The second will turn one lap of the driveway into four because a stick has to come along. By the third day you will be told, solemnly, that this bike goes faster than yours.
