Ashley Game Knife | 3.5" 1095 Carbon Steel Blade | Canvas Micarta Handle | Leather Sheath
Ashley spent a lot of time handling game in the field, which led to some very specific opinions about blade length, handle shape, and where a guard should actually sit. This is the result: a knife optimized for leverage when you're splitting a sternum, with a subtle sweep that keeps the point in line with the handle and an edge that's continually curved. The blade width works inside the pelvic cavity of the average whitetail, and there's no sharpening notch at the choil to catch on hides.
The handle is Canvas Micarta—solid, doesn't slip when wet, and develops a worn-in look with use. Ashley's used a wide variety of scale materials, and he prefers Micarta for working knives because grip and feel matter more than being impervious to blood and other fluids. The black-oxide stone-washed blade ages the same way. Full tang, proven grip shape, radiused lanyard hole large enough for 550 cord. Built in the U.S.A.
