Brian Trubshaw is the owner and designer of Journeyman Handcraft, a small family-run company based in the heart of England. Alongside his mother Carol, who helps craft durable bushcraft and camping gear from canvas and leather, and his partner Emily, who manages branding and marketing, Brian has turned a creative hobby into a thriving business. What began as a passion for making high-quality handmade goods has grown into Journeyman Handcraft—a family journey built on craftsmanship, quality, and adventure.

Brian Trubshaw and his mother Carol run Journeyman Handcraft out of England, making long-lasting outdoor gear from canvas and leather. What started as a hobby turned into a small family business when people kept asking Brian to make things for them. Every product in their range has been refined over time based on customer feedback. This kids' backpack is built the same way they build everything else: waxed canvas body, brass hardware, cotton webbing straps, adjustable design, multiple pockets and compartments. Handmade with a one-week turnaround, using materials chosen to last a lifetime. Small enough that a five-year-old can actually haul it around for about twenty minutes before requesting immediate sherpa services. After that it becomes your "problem," filled with nature's treasures that must not under any circumstances be left behind: one perfect stick, four rocks of varying importance, a leaf that's definitely special, and something damp you're afraid to identify.
